Final PRICE DROP - Daddy Mojo 6-String Cigar Box Guitar – Playboy Series with Hard Case

This is the final price drop on this beautiful guitar. I am dropping the price to $399. If it does not sell at this price, I plan to take down the listing and store the guitar for awhile.

Beautiful, limited edition Daddy Mojo 6-string cigar box electric guitar featuring the May 1964 cover of Playmate of the Year Donna Michelle. It has mother of pearl position markers and Florentine (F-hole) violin cut-outs.

I acquired this guitar in 2013. Since then it has been mostly a conversation piece and has been displayed in a smoke-free house. It has rarely been played and, as you can see from the pictures, it is still in Excellent condition. Guitar purchase includes hard, padded Syvex case pictured.

The guitar is described in the Playboy magazine advertisement as follows: Limited edition Daddy Mojo cigar box electric guitars featuring 6 unique classic Playboy covers. Handcrafted in Montreal, Canada $695

The 6-string model of this guitar is hard to find. Daddy Mojo currently lists the 4-string model on their site for $535 (case not included in price).

On the May 1964 cover, Playmate of the Year Donna Michelle becomes the brand by posing in the shape of the iconic Rabbit Head while wearing a white leotard. This was the first time a Playmate of the Year was featured so prominently on a cover. Each guitar comes equipped with a maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, Spanish cedar box and hot mini-humbucker pick-up for amplification.

Wood Selection:

Sourced by a tight knit group of local suppliers, all wood for our instruments is hand selected to meet our specific needs. All lumber is air dried in our shop for several months to assure maximum stability. We regularly favour domestic lumber for its accessibility and as a sound ecological practice.

Hand Carved Necks:

All Daddy Mojo necks are made of hand selected locally sourced lumber. Each neck is carved in house using proprietary jigs developed over the past several years to guarantee consistency. Each neck is reinforced with a tension block specifically developed to assure stability. All of our cigar boxes are hand made using traditional finger joints.
