Welcome to another fine guitar from The Old Europe! Please make sure to read the entire description below carefully, and look at all the pictures.

General introduction and background:

Super nice and rare Yamato-badged SG-style guitar. I am not entirely sure which of the factories made this, but it is similar to Ibanez-models of the same time (early 1970s) and maybe made by Fujigen or Terada.

Measurements, weight and other specs:

-     Scale: 628 mm

-     Nut: 42 mm

-     Weight: 3,12 kg

-     Pickups: Maxon, unlabelled, single coils in humbucker housings

-     Body: likely solid majoganey

-     Neck: unknown, the fretboard is nicely grained rosewood

Condition:

-     Body: some dings and dongs, lacquer damages, but nothing serious.

-     Neck: straight neck, good (low, small vintage) frets with some minor wear (7/10), truss rod works.

-     Electronics: fully functional, standard G*b*on layout

-     Hardware: fully functional, minor traces of corrosion

-     Originality: Fully original except for the toggle switch (the original fell apart)

Sound and Playability:

-     Playability and string action: The guitar plays easily with a low string action, albeit you got to be used to the typical low, small vintage frets and respective playing feeling.

 - Intonation: spot on, nicely adjustable with the bridge

-     Sound: Please refer to the video for a sound test.
