Gray Research 108 tonearm and HF-500 turntable

This is an extremely rare and desirable collector's transcription turntable and tonearm. This has the highly desirable Gray 108 transcription tonearm, which is fluid damped and includes the rare original weight and cartridge mount. It also possesses a massive hysteresis motor that is running smoothly at 33 rpm. It includes the 45 rpm adapter. The table is in very good mechanical condition, but the cartridge produces some distortion (not sure whether it is the stylus or cartridge/alignment). It will be a very easy fix for the new owner. I have fixed/maintained numerous things including: 

• Cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and light wax
• Cleaned the TT base
• Cleaned platter shaft and receptacle/lube with 20 wt turbine oil
• Cleaned and lubricated on/off switch assembly
• Lubricated the hysteresis motor with turbine oil
• Cleaned motor spindle and adapter
• Installed new power cord(old one dryrot)
• Replaced mono RCA out with stereo RCA out and fixed the grounding terminal
• Cleaned the damping fluid chamber and refilled with 500,000 CST silicone oil as specified (additional fluid included)
• Rewired tonearm with high quality stereo shielded tonearm wiring
• Purchased NOS Pickering stylus
• Repaired light wiring
• Replaced rubber motor mounts with rubber grommets/o-rings

All the parts removed or fixed are included with the sale. Note the adhesive dried out underneath the Gray serial plate. It is currently taped on but can be glued by the new owner. 

What's missing : light covering for the light, 2 speed adapters (one included). 

This is an extremely rare table, and the tonearms regularly sell for close to $1000. It is in good mechanical condition, but the buyer should expect to replace and align the cartridge. As with all vintage electronics, repair or maintenance could be needed at any time, so no guarantee is implied. Please ask all questions.
