EXTRAORDINARY SOUND.

Build your personal sound

around this unique guitar.

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT:

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL GUITAR IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

All collectors know the story of Wandré Antonio Pioli and his partnership with Athos Davoli.

As best I can determine, this guitar was made by Davoli after his time working with Wandre.

Davoli chose to name his guitar after the LAMBORGHINI MIURA P 400. I've yet to see, feel, or hear, the connection but that's what he had in mind when he designed and built this BEAUTIFUL GUITAR.

It is a solid guitar, as compared to the lightness of most Wandre pieces, and uses more traditional materials than the Wandre guitars I have seen. The body and neck are wood and quite substantial. The electronics are typical high quality DAVOLI. As compared to most other Italian guitars made during this time, the MIURA is quite ELEGANT. It does not glow with sparkles and sport dozens of buttons for control functions. In fact, it is refined and simple. For controls, it has only three knobs (V, T, PUP selector).

The sound is extremely varied thanks again to the well-crafted DAVOLI pickups. The solid body does give this guitar HEAVY SUSTAIN and a DEEP LUSH TONE. Playing it reminds me more of a GIBSON style guitar.

It weighs 9.2 pounds. That is heavier than many other Italian guitars, but it accounts here for extreme sustain and resonance.

The guitar will ship in a gig bag (not original).

If you are a fan of Italian guitars as I am, this is a GREAT GUITAR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. It adds REFINEMENT to its other rather rowdy and boisterous contemporaries.

About Athos Davoli:

Athos Davoli in 1943, at age 17, works on radio communication systems on a warplane Savoia Marchetti at the workshops Reggiane as an apprentice.

His passion for electronics led him to start a small business in the immediate postwar period and in just a few years he was able to design and build equipment to valves.

In 1957 he founded the company Krundaal Davoli, in Parma, where he had moved from hometown Correggio.
Davoli In the '60s produces amplifiers for musical instruments and for voice and conquer more and more wide notoriety.

The majority of Italian music band (then called "complex"), and also those foreign tour in our country, using the amplification system Davoli-Krundaal.

In that decade, creating a real "boom" of requests for the continued flourishing of new bands and Davoli develops an intense collaboration with Antonio Pioli "Wandre" (1926-2004) and together they create a stunning production of electric guitars, which today are the object of collecting worldwide.

Condition: This guitar is in VERY GOOD cosmetic condition and EXCELLENT electronic and mechanical condition. There is a nick on the top of one of the headstock “ears”. Also, there are a few other scraps, scratches, etc. on the guitar.

Buyers outside the USA must contact me for a shipping quote prior to buying this guitar.

Please contact me with any questions you have.

If your guitar arrives damaged, please let me know immediately by email. Be sure to hold onto all packing material and the box. I will contact the shipper for an inspection. Remember that this can take up to a couple of weeks but I will rush it along.

Minor problems. If there is a problem with one of the guitars when it arrives, e.g., loose wires etc. then I will work with you to get it repaired by someone in your area.

II. OTHER POLICIES.
