This listing is for a really fun guitar I found a while ago. This 1971 Gibson Les Paul Standard has been heavily modified and the best way I can describe it is "Twisted". I will hope the pictures will do most of the talking with this listing. The guitar dates to 1971 and was an original Standard with factory full size humbucker routes. The sunburst finish on the top is original along with the headstock finish but the back, sides and back of the neck have been oversprayed and refinished. The guitar plays great. The neck is straight and the action is low and comfortable. Most of the parts are changed. The pickups are an old Duncan '59 in the neck and a Dimarzio '59 PAF in the bridge and are really good sounding combination. The truss rod cover, tuners, bridge, tailpiece and knobs are all changed as well. There is small crack along the treble side wing of the headstock, see pics. There are also two holes in the top under the tailpiece, not sure what they are from. The modifications with power tools speak for themselves. The modifications took some skill and craftsmanship and must have taken a long time. Clearly the person who did the modifications had better craftsmanship skills than judgement. It is fun to imagine the guitars stories. I got it like this so unfortunately I can't provide any info on the history of the guitar. The guitar comes with a non original case and will be expertly packed for safe shipping. Please look at the pictures and email with questions. I am happy to ship internationally but will not falsify customs documents.
