About This Listing

This push-to-talk switch is one of a kind (literally, because so far we have only made this one). Usually metal enclosures are too expensive for us to build these switches into if we intend to list them at reasonable prices. However, this aluminum enclosure is currently on sale with one of our suppliers. If there is enough interest, we may make a few more of these while the enclosures are available at a discount.

Microphone mount with clip provided to easily mount a mic to the device. An external mic stand/mount can also be used, bypassing the built in mount.

This device features a latching (non-momentary) push button switch. So, you push-on to unmute your mic, then push it again to mute the mic once again. Both dynamic and condenser microphones are supported. However, no microphone is included. If you connect the included power adapter to a standard wall outlet or power strip, the push button will illuminate a bright white when engaged. The switch will still function the same in the absence of the connected power adapter (with no illumination, of course).

The device will pass phantom power, no problem. The presence of phantom power should not create any pops or harsh static or any other unwanted noise for that matter. If you find that not to be the case with any device you purchase from us (phantom power or not) we will provide you a shipping label to use to send the device back to us and upon its receipt promptly issue you a full refund (its worth noting however that we have yet to have a device returned for that reason)

Note: although phantom power is supported, it cannot be used to power the illumination feature. This device will not siphon phantom power. In fact it wont interfere with it in any way. This is important, because many condenser mics require the full 48v undisturbed phantom power load to function properly.

Dimensions
Approximately 5” x 4.25” x 4” tall at the tallest point, 2” tall at the shortest. Weighs just over 10oz with the microphone clip attached.

XLR cables not included.

Free shipping to anywhere in the 50 United States!

PS It was difficult to get a photo of the switch while the button is illuminated that reflects what it actually looks like. It lights up very bright but not so bright that it’s uncomfortable to look at.
