This Guild Artist Award was made in Hoboken in 1962. This is a VERY early example of this model and it is extremely rare. The guitar plays great and sounds really incredible. The guitar has changed tuners. The guitar has a George Van Epps String Damper mounted where the truss rod cover goes. The individual we acquired this from insisted this was a factory option from Guild, but we think it was more likely installed by the original retailer when new, as these string dampers were actually a Gibson product. The guitar has also been refretted. Otherwise the guitar is all original. There is some normal play wear including dings, dents, and scratches, but there is no structural damage. It has been pro-setup and plays great. It comes with a very large non original hard case.
