Warm Audio WA73-EQ 1-Channel British Microphone Preamp / EQ

Up for sale is a Revive Audio Modified: Warm Audio WA73-EQ

We all know these preamps pack a good price to performance ratio but with the modifications they simply sound excellent with better bandwidth, higher headroom and sound less muddy to boot.

Note we have sound samples of the before an after on our site for those that would like to hear.

Note this unit has the stock Carnhill transformers with our full circuit upgrade.

The character smooths out and the noise floor is lowered to a point where the audio is just right and a lot closer to the original Neve Design.

What we do to these little boxes is essentially gut the insides.

We pull all of the transistors out and replace them with high HFE transistors for better bandwidth and lower noise to more closely resemble the original Neve design.

This includes both the EQ and the Preamp sections.

We then pull all of the caps out the unit and replace them with long life, audio grade Panasonic capacitors for even lower noise and better musicality.

The power supply is then upgraded for longer life, lower noise and better filtration of noise as the icing on the cake.

We walk away with a wonderful sounding preamp with modifications that we receive nothing but positive feedback about:)
