About This Listing

If you are looking for penetrating authentic vintage tones without the high price, this Precision hits the spot.

This is an impressively responsive and overtly musical bass that plays and sounds incredible and has just the right amount of mojo. There is no comparison to current Fender basses.

Was a single owner bass until 2018. Since then only used for recording by the previous owner and my own project.
Original case (with vintage stickers) includes original pickup cover but the bridge cover has been lost to time. The bridge cover screws are here along with art from the original owner.
The original nut is included in the sale and has a chip in it but has no effect on playability or tone. Currently fitted with Mammoth nut and TI flats.

Quartersawn Brazilian board and Alder body. Neck stamp is faded/damaged but still present.
Original pickup, pots, harness and case.
Fully functional and ready to play.

Wait till you hear it.

Ships 2day FedEx insured.

Product Overview
As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was an absolutely revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. Built as a bass counterpart to the Telecaster, the Precision or P Bass evolved throughout the ‘50s with changing electronics, body shape, and cosmetic details. By the beginning of 1965, CBS had taken full control of Fender and began a shift towards mass-production style construction. While some of these changes were not entirely detrimental through 1965, Fenders from 1965 an onward are less collectable than earlier models.
