Here is a wonderful pair of the very hard-to-find of 1970's ADS 500 (aka L500) speakers in genuine walnut veneer cabinets in perfect operating condition and excellent cosmetic condition (with perfect grills). Stunning sound with crisp articulate highs and warm accurate midrange, and better bass response than most two way bookshelf designs (frequncy response stays within 3 db from 20 kHz all the way down to 45Hz). Full factory specs are shown in the images.

The 8 inch woofers have butyl surrounds that will never require replacement (no refoaming), and the 1 inch tweeters are the legendary ADS / Braun-designed "sticky dome" that impart such perfect clarity to voices, brass, and acoustic instruments. Built in the USA circa 1976, these 500's sound amazing and the old school veneered enclosures make them at home with fine furniture. They measure 20 x 11.5 x 9.75 inches.

The ADS 500's (like almost all ADS designs) have a rated impedance of 4 ohms. Rated for 40 watts RMS continuous, but will handle twice that amount at peaks without clipping. These mid-century classics are among the best two-way speakers built during the era of peak HiFi in the 1970's. As you now spend more time in your home, your favorite music and movies heard through truly fine audio will be a source of strength and comfort during stressful days.
