About This Listing

1970s Guild Mandeira Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with a spruce top, and mahogany back and sides. I believe the model is an A-18 but it is not listed on the guitar anywhere.

The guitar sounds great and has low action, the one major issue that puts this is "fair" condition, is that the truss rod is currently frozen, it doesn't seem maxed out as it wont move in either direction, but the guitar has a slightly forward bow, making the 3rd fret on the E string (and slightly the A string) a little buzzy. It is by no means unplayable, but you could sort that out quite easily with a small truss rod adjustment. I have not tried much in the way of rectifying this issue as I do not want to risk damaging anything, I am not a pro when it comes to acoustic set ups.

Cosmetically the guitar is actually in pretty good shape for its age. The most notable damage is some chipping on the headstock near the tuners, you can see this in some of the pictured. There's also some normal wear for the age such as some small scratches, dings, dents, ect, but I didn't find anything crazy out of the ordinary.

Due to the previously noted issue with the truss rod being stuck, I'm selling this one as-is / final sale, at a price well reduced from what I would normally sell a vintage MIJ acoustic, especially from Guild.

Please see pictures for exact condition and details.
