Trutone 1x15 Open Back Cab with Eminence Wheelhouse 200

This is another cab I've mixed and matched.  I bought the cabinet on Ebay, bought the speaker here, and had Indy String Theory set up the jack (there was no jack on the cab when I bought it) and do the install.  This cab is maybe from the early aughts; the "Trutone Custom" sticker inside has a web address.  It's been around, and the tolex, while largely physically intact, has peeled, sagged, cracked at the top seams, and has one noteworthy scratch on the front left side.  I do love the Oxblood grill in front.  This could be a DIY repair/re-do project.  The cab is partial open back, and you can take off the bottom panel.  The speaker is rear-mount and you'll have to take all the bolts off to slide the speaker out.  

The speaker and cab do, however, work fine, and with this Neo speaker, it's a really light pair.  Easy one-hand pickup and carry.  The Wheelhouse 200 is a hemp-coned neo speaker at 200w.  It sounds great, although it does have that bright, fast attack of neo, mellowed out somewhat by the hemp cone.  Light pick attack emphasizes the mellow, and hard attack brings out the brightness.  I've played this 15" alongside the EVM 12L that I have listed for sale here, as well as a Swamp Thang in a 1x12, a Copperback in a 1x12, and a pair of Jensen Blackbirds.  It's not as creamy as the Blackbirds, not as bright or high-midsy as the Copperback, and holds its own, clean or dirty, with the Thang and the EVM.
