About This Listing

This circuit is based on the well known Shure Level Loc compressor. It was originally a compressor for podium mics in public address systems, and was later popularized in the studio environment for it's thick and squishy JFET overdrive. There are two separate channels, fit into a properly shielded 1u rack box, with several added features.

 - Balanced XLR inputs with Shure Input transformers.
- hand etched front panel with black oxide lettering on buffed semi-mirrored aluminum finish with a clear coat seal
- internal linear regulated power supply with excessive filtering for zero AC hum [wall adapter included!]
- USA [120vac] and Euro [240vac] compatible
- adjustable release times [3 positions: normal, slower, slowest]
- 3 position "distance" switch [similar to threshold]
- input level potentiometer for each channel
- all brand new components on a high quality BLACK printed circuit board
- added transistor buffer output stage for low impedance unbalanced output [I can balance outputs upon request]

Audio samples can be found in the drop down menu below.

I can also build these to order, send me a message for details!
