For sale is this vintage 1959 Standel dual-pickup solidbody electric guitar made by Semie Moseley of Mosrite, as commissioned by Bob Crooks. Considered to be one of several surviving examples of the first small batch of Standel guitars, it is assumed that approximately 12 were ordered, and maybe as few as 5 were completed. Rarer than hens teeth, and a very integral part of the rich Southern California guitar design/manufacturing pedigree, this is a true piece of guitar history. Quite crisp, with highly intact original nitrocellulose lacquer finish in a Silver Burst of Surf Burst application, this non-serialized prototype is of musesum-quality. There will not be another chance to buy or own one of these any time soon, so don't delay!

* Packages shipped via USPS are dropped off directly at a USPS depot. Unlike FedEx and UPS, USPS shipments do not generally update immediately with an intake scan, and may take up to 72 hours for a status change. This applies to both domestic and international USPS shipments.

* We are not a retail shop with a brick and mortar storefront. We are a private recording studio. When we are busy in the studio it sometimes takes us an extra day or two to process shipments. We appreciate your business and understanding.
