Up for sale is a Guild D55 built in New Hartford, Connecticut in 2010. This guitar is overall, in very good condition with no major issues. The only real negative to mention here is the weather checking on the top. If weather checking does not bother you, then this could be a great deal for you. There are only minor dings, dents, scratches, and swirling. None are really visible when overlooking the guitar, and none were noticeable enough to post a picture.
This guitar has a really light blonde AAA grade, Sitka Spruce top with some nice silking. The bridge is securely glued down, and the saddle is at a healthy height for future string adjustments. This guitar has one of the best set of East Indian Rosewood sides I have ever seen on a guitar. The back is also solid East Indian Rosewood and has great figure. The sides have two long black stripes running around each side of the dreadnought, and it creates a really beautiful look. You may see some reflections in the pictures bouncing off the Nitrocellulose finish. These are not flaws, but i wanted to mention them. The frets are in great shape with little to no wear. The guitar has a great, original deluxe, guild hardshell case, in perfect working condition.
These New Hartford Guilds are some of the best sounding and easiest playing guilds i have ever owned. I am a die hard Westerly, Rhode Island fan and defender, but after buying 3 great New Hartford Guilds, I am seriously thinking, they could be the best sounding guilds ever made. I know it's all subjective, but if you are like me, and want nothing but Hoboken or Westerly guilds, please do yourself a favor and try a NH guild.
The only guitars I buy, sell, and collect are guild acoustics. I search the internet daily looking for the best guilds in the best condition to offer up for sale. I say no to hundreds of listings before I say yes, and this guild d55 was to good to resist. I am hoping to find it's next owner who is ok with weather checks, and will play it daily, and give it the attention it deserves. Please message me with all questions, requests, and offers. I prefer to make deals privately, and through my guild acoustics site. I have many other great guilds for sale right now, and i am adding more used guilds to my inventory every week, so check back with me soon to see what guilds i have found.
