1993 Rickenbacker 4001v63 reissue. This bass is an excellent example of a Rick 4001v63. Rhythm pickup is a toaster and the treble pickup is a horseshoe. The chrome horseshoe cover on the back pickup has been removed and a treble bezel has been installed although horseshoe cover is included with the sale. This bass was originally finished in mapleglo but was sent to noted Rickenbacker finish specialist Paul Wilczynski to have a fireglo finish put on it a few years back. This bass is in excellent condition and plays and sounds great. Only other things to note are that the strap buttons were switched out for standard buttons instead of the small Rickenbacker ones and that the case, at some point, had one of the latches replaced and it is held in with small nuts and bolts rather than with flimsy rivets. The bass currently has round wounds but always had Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats on it till recent those strings also come with this exceptional bass.
