About This Listing

All original parts and case. Great for fingertyle, strumming and jazz. One repaired crack in the top. Gibson manufactured the L-3 between 1902 and 1933. Production started around a decade after Orville Gibson had invented the arched top guitar. In common with the other L guitars of the time the L-3 was available in different body sizes - ranging from 12.5 to 16 inches wide. Initially the sound hole was round but this was changed to an oval soundhole from 1928 to 1933.
