This Bass Guitar can control a midi module or keyboard or computer software via an interface and midi cable. It can have each string use a different patch (different sound on a different midi channel). Improved Dynamics: finger, pick or tap.  Improved storage 32 patches. Pitch bend (string) capable. Better than Midibass. 

Includes: bass guitar, interface cable, 1 rack space interface, interface power supply, user manual, black and green bass guitar strap with quick release and Gator case. 

All works fine except for: 10th fret A string fret works but wrong pitch
(10th fret makes the same pitch as the 11th fret)

Peavey Midi vs. Cyber Bass Comparison

SIMILARITIES: The Peavey Midibass and later the Peavey Cyberbass were both designed to give you the ability to control synth and computer software via a midi signal being generated in the bass guitar.
They both use similar technology in the construction of the instrument. Frets that are sliced into separate contacts for each string so that pressing down on the string (Nickel is Recommended) the string then contacts some frets. By coming in contact with the frets the electronics determine what note you are intending to play.
Both instruments have the ability to use the regular bass guitar pickups at the same time as the midi signal. The interface has a midi output and a regular bass guitar cable output as well. Both have normal output on the bass as well.
When you look at the fretboard you assume that you’ll get every fret on the board to make a note with. This is true until you get to the upper end of the fretboard and find that the last fret is just there to help you use the second to last fret which is how the fret sensor technology works with these basses. Both basses are a lot lighter than most normal basses because most of the guts of the body are hollowed out for a very large circuit board!
Also remember that you must realize the ADSR envelope of the patch(s) you are using in your synth or software. Some sounds will not decay if you still have your finger on the note and the sustain setting of the patch is to hold until you let go etc.
DIFFERENCES: The Midibass was the first version and the name was changed because someone else was using that name too. So the next improved version was given the name Cyberbass. The bass guitar pickups as I’ve heard cannot be changed as they are used in the sensing of the string dynamics and maybe other things. The Midibass had less features and the Cyberbass had more. So here are the differences.

MY SUMMARY:
Midibass would be great for keeping a bass at a consistent volume level playing live with cool synth patches and for putting notes into software programs. Some examples on you tube also show the looping thing going on where you play a drum groove using midi then loop it and then play the bass normally.
Cyberbass would allow for bass players to do what the Midibass can do and more with a wider variety of techniques to be used and more complex patches with wider dynamics. The one patch per string thing might be an exciting challenge for some bassists too.
