This L-5 Custom, built on the scale of a Gibson Byrdland - which is a bit shorter - makes this very rare archtop guitar. We've never seen anything like it. We’ve even asked a number of colleagues in the industry, and no one we’ve interviewed has ever switched to another Gibson L-5 Custom device the size of a Gibson Byrdland. We believe this is the only ONLY L-5 ever made with this length of length. The difference is a guitar that isn’t as cumbersome as some of the L-5s. Due to the slightly shorter length, this is easier and the neck is also easier to play up and down. It’s a very balanced guitar and it plays as well and sounds like it looks. The new owner of this incredible L-5 Custom shouldn’t be disappointed in any way.
