This is a 1990s Marshall JTM 60 guitar amp head with foot switch for channel switching. It's in excellent playing condition and very good cosmetic condition. The green/gray tolex and wheat grille cloth are one of the best Marshall color combinations ever. I've highlighted the cosmetic flaws in the photos: a dent on the top about the size of a nickel to the right of the handle, the handle (which is original) has a crack in the middle of the leather, the gold finish on the handle mounts and the corner pieces has faded to a nice patina over 25 years or so, some of the knobs are scratched, and there are some tolex tears on in the back interior sides. Still, it's in very good shape for it's age including the flawless grille cloth and logo.
Sonically, these amps are killer and have a ton of features. It's made in the UK, with 3 12AX7s and 2 EL34s. The clean channel has a ton of headroom (it's a 60 watt amp), but will give a mild to moderate distortion with humbuckers or if overdriven. A lot of folks consider this clean channel to be outstanding for Marshall and I agree. It has a great Fender-like fullness. The dirty channel has a ton of gain available with anything above about 5 on the gain knob beyond JCM800 territory. It has a real spring reverb with settings for each channel, series and parallel effects loops, 8 and 16 ohm speaker outs, and amazingly for the 90s: a direct out with cabinet emulation. The size is also right at about 2/3 the size of a typical Marshall head.
