Hand-built by Trev Wilkinson and his trusted luthier of many years Mike Smith, this very limited run of guitars will feature models from the Fret-King Green Label Series with the amazingly innovative Fishman Fluence systems installed. As well as countering the problems associated with convential pickups (such as the dreaded 60 cycle single-coil hum) Fluence also offer the player two distinct voicings, based on classic, iconic pickups of yesteryear. For example the single width model can go from classic single-coil sparkle, to an overwound ‘Texas’ tone via a push-pull switch on the tone pot. Meanwhile, the double width pickups can alternate between the classic PAF and high-gain modern tones. Alongside the impressive Fret-King spec of American Alder bodies, Canadian Hard Rock Maple necks with either Indian Rosewood or Hard Rock Maple fingerboards, players will appreciate the inclusion of Trev Wilkinson designed hardware, all coming together to make a guitar that is so much more than the sum of its parts.
