About This Listing

One of 60 produced worldwide. An exacting recreation of George's "hump block"-inlaid '57 Duo-Jet. Every scratch, dent, worn patch, and bit of hardware patina has been duplicated as seen on Harrison's. Built by master luthier Stephen Stern in the USA. Comes with an unopened accessory box containing:

- 1987 British 7" vinyl of "Got My Mind Set on You"
- One of George's personal guitar picks (yes, really.)
- Unpublished photos of George and his Duo-Jet
- A DVD covering the making of the guitar
- George's book "I Me Mine"
- A personal letter from the family
- Collectible set of 4 pins
- USA Today article about the guitar

These are chambered-body lacquer-finished mahogany guitars with a 1.66" nut width, 24.6" scale length, Dyna-Sonic pickups, and a master tone control.
George Harrison used his 1957 6128 Duo-Jet in the Beatles' Cavern Club days and paid £75 for it (he only had £70 at the time and had to leave an IOU for the remaining 5 quid). A copy of the IOU is included.
About 1986 George gave the guitar to our dear friend Alan Rogan (RIP Alan) to fix up so he could use it live again. Alan provided the picks the picks for this edition, which he got from the Harrison household. He then used it on the 1987 "Cloud Nine" record - it was actually on the cover. A very rare opportunity as these all sold out within an hour when released back in 2011. Again - the accessory box is unopened. Comes in its original tweed hard case. Consigned.
