I recently purchased this from the estate of a musician and collector in Fremont, Nebraska. It appears to be authentic and period correct. All of the hand painted info matches the patina of the original black paint of case it self. I did some research and discovered Jeffrey Hammond was indeed the bass player for Jethro Tull from 1971-1975. Aqualung, Jethro Thul was recorded in 1971 at Island Studios in London. Some of the album had orchestral recordings on it.
The case is exceptionally preserved. It has remnants of baggage stickers all over the front of it. It appears to be a case for an upright bass. It measures 53” tall, 19 and 1/2” wide and 9” deep.
If you have any questions about the case please feel free to ask.
The case will be shipped in a wooden box to insure it is protected during shipment. It will also be insured. Hence the high shipping costs.
