For sale is a Dusty Strings D35 hammered dulcimer. This was purchased around 2002 and was used in the recording of a few songs then gently put away. It is in excellent condition and has been kept in a climate controlled environment. It comes complete with everything originally included with some extra Middle Eastern mallets, a suction pickup for a tuner, some humidification devices, wooden stand, and soft-shell padded case with shoulder strap and front pocket. Hand-built in Seattle the Dusty Strings D35 is a finely crafted instrument that looks, plays and sounds great! It features a beautifully flamed-maple bound top with b-w-b-w-b top purfling, solid mahogany top and back, maple pinblocks, walnut sides, maple bridges, decorative wooden inserts in soundholes and 31 2-string courses (16 treble, 15 bass). It plays in major keys of G, C, D, E, F, A and minor keys of Bm, Em, Am, Dm, F#m, complete 3-octave range in D. Top two octaves are fully chromatic.
