It took me over 10 years to locate & purchase this guitar after constant searching of eBay, forums, & craigslist. I have now owned it in my personal collection for 12-13 years & have never gigged it. It has been kept in its hardshell case at all times.
The Yamaha RGX 821D was made for a short time between 1994 & 1996. It was the most expensive guitar Yamaha had ever built & sold. For good reason. The build quality is along the lines of guitar makers such as Suhr & other high end boutique makes. It has a factory half-scalloped neck on the higher frets, beautiful inlay, great fret work, nice looking flamed brownburst finish & fitted hardshell case.
