The final evolution of the Aluminum necked bass guitar!
Travis Bean --> Kramer --> Vaccaro --> Hartke.
This is essentially a Vaccaro X-ray with a different headstock. These originally came with a noisy preamp and some inexpensive Korean pickups. I carefully removed those and replaced them with a set of EMG Actives. Controls are V-V-T. The bass has also been upgraded with matte chrome Schaller straplock buttons. (Straplocks and strap not included.)
Most people string these with roundwounds, but I already had a couple near-identical basses with rounds (Hartke XL4 prototype and a Vaccaro XRay) so I decided to string this up with flatwounds. But not just any flats; I chose the Rotosound SH-77 Steve Harris set, for maximum thunder. This bass takes them to a whole new level! :)
I don't have an exact date, but I believe this bass was probably made circa 2000-2001. Excellent condition overall: no dents or chips, just swirls and light scratches. Fret wear is mild and even, at least 80-90% left, with no detrimental effects on playability.
Unlike Travis Beans and Kramers, these basses have a fully adjustable truss-rod. Truss rod works perfectly. A 1/4" hex key is required. (not included, though)
Excellent brand-new gig bag is included.

34 inch scale length.
Nut width: 41.7mm (1.64 inches)
String spacing 19mm at bridge
Weight: 9 pounds 1 oz (4.111 kg)
