Up for sale is a real one of a kind instrument.
This "partscaster" also known as the “Space Jag” has a left handed pine MJT Jaguar offset shaped body made by Wildwood Guitars. Body alone was light at 3lbs. 13 oz. The neck is a 2011 left-handed Squier
Vintage Modified C-shaped maple neck with 9.5 radius rosewood fretboard. It was
taken off of one of two custom Jaguars made for Ian Fowles, guitarist of The
Aquabats for use on their TV show, The Aquabats Super Show. The neck was originally
on the main guitar seen on Ian's character in every episode on camera in season
one of the show. The body and matching headstock were re-finished in a custom
"space sparkle" metal flake finish (with nitrocellulose clear coat)
by Hargrove Guitars. The pickguard is made by Decoboom. The bridge is a Mustang
style bridge (with matched 9.5 radius). Hardtail plate has replaced the
traditional offset tremolo/vibrato unit. Black Dunlop Straplocks have been
installed. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Phat Cats which are P-90's in a
Humbucker casing. The neck plate is a Fender "F" with a custom laser
engraved ‘serial number’ that reads APOLLO 11. It was engraved by a former NASA
employee who engraved parts for rocket/space shuttle parts as his full-time job
for decades. The three metal switch plates were custom made in brushed finish.
Pickup selector is a switchcraft 3-way switch. Cloth wiring. The lower bout
controls are independent volume controls for each pickup. There is no tone
knob. The lower knob controls the bridge pickup volume, the upper one controls
the neck pickup volume. On the upper bout is a single plastic blue arcade push-button
wired to be a momentary kill switch. Inside the upper bout cavity there is a clear quartz crystal fastened to the body with epoxy. The crystal was charged in the
light of the Super Blue Moon Lunar Eclipse of January 31, 2018. The guitar was
used onstage by Ian with The Aquabats extensively during 2018-2020. It
sustained a few dings at a concert in LA in 2018 (see pics). There is some
oxidation on the pickup covers. There is a ding on the back of the neck that
has been professionally filled. A hole at the rim of the top of the headstock
where a prop was drilled in for the tv show has been professionally filled. Other
than that, the guitar is very clean and has recently been professionally
set-up. Guitar comes with a soft case and black nylon strap.
