DESCRIPTION:
Ultra rare survivor Warwick Dolphin Pro 2 Bass Guitar aka "German Batch Prototype" aka "Lawsuit Prototype"
Made in Germany, 1990, has no serial number! All original, no mods.
Bought this bass from a man who says he was the only owner and bought it new in 1991. Very beautiful dark laquer over ash body. Guitar shows signs of use, a few scratches here and there (check pictures), misses one bridge bolt, but overall very nice condition. Fully functional, truss rod tested works as it should, plays and sounds great. Bass has the active only MEC electronics, that is one of the differences between these and Japan made Dolphin Pro 2s.
Bass has a weird story, according to H.P. Wilfer there're only 150-180 of them survived! You can find a lot of info about those german made Dolphin Pro 2 basses on the internet, here're the messages from Warwick support and H.P. Wilfer:

"your Bass comes from the first production in 1990 I believe and some of the Models didn`t had any

Serial number.. but 100% your Bass is from 1990.. I am sorry for this lack of attention in this

time.. but it was a real difficult time for us in 1990 so we die such mistakes..

I hope you love your Dolphine Pro II and that the instrument is still well playable and sounding

well.

With best regards"

"yes it looks that this Bass isn`t officialy from our side, othervice it would
have an Serial Number. In 1990 we tried to work with an other Guitar Company
in our area together (the company isn`t existing anymore) and we refused there
products (most of them) because the necks where incredible unstabil. The result
was, the Company sold the instruments "not officially" and arround 150 to 180 pcs.
where sold "illegaly on the market.. thats the reason your Dolphine Pro II
has no serial number.

So thats all I can tell you...

I still hope for you that the Instrument is playable and you can fix it for
your customer.

I hope my information can assist you a little bit.

With best regards
