The Tonestar from Studio Electronics is a full synth voice, complete with a VCO, a resonant filter, a modulation LFO, two envelopes and a VCA, complete with patch points for each function. It is based on the ARP 2600 style of synth, and internally patched like Alan R. Pearlman's prized synthesizer. The VCO is designed from the best of all the classics, a little ARP, Moog and Oberheim to have the best from all worlds. The LFO is voltage controlled, to allow for wackier modulation. This is an excellent module for those interested in Eurorack, but aren't looking to break the bank or explode their brains.
