Malinoski HiTop #372 New Luthier Built Hollowbody Silver Foils Tremolo Just Lovely

HiTop #372 is a hollow body / block under the bridge design that take great advantage of my hand wound Type13SC pickups that really come alive in a hollow body guitar. My Type13SC single coil pickups are based on the best of gold foil design- RMRW matched set designed for the neck and bridge positions. You can play any style of music with this guitar, it is clean and clear with a touch of acoustic vibe at low volumes and sizzles when cranked up and pushed.

The neck is maple with a birdseye maple fretboard and dual action trussrod - 12” radius / 25-1/2” scale / 24- Jescar 47104 nickel frets / medium C profile. It is a glued and screwed set-neck that is never coming off and will never need to be re-set and it is very comfortable. The action is low and easy- Delrin nut at 1-11/16”, Hipshot locking tuners. It also features a Jag-style trem matched with a Schaller roller bridge.

The body has amber stained, satin Danish oiled cedar top and back with a Douglas fir core, it has a full open space interior with a block under the bridge in the same manner as the old Stratotones. It is stocked with Bournes / CTS / Switchcraft components- the whole guitar comes in at 5lbs 14oz.

HiTop #372 was shown at winter NAMM 2019, and like all of my signature guitars, is completely handmade from scratch, brand new and a joy to play.
