Linn Electronics - LinnSequencer - 32 Track MIDI Sequence Recorder - Rare and Collectible

Here is a LinnSequencer 32 Track MIDI Sequence Recorder in very good used condition.  A simple internet search can give you the history of these units, so I won't copy and paste it into this listing.  However, if you are looking at this, then you probably already know what it is.  It looks like this particular unit was manufactured in 1985 based upon the date stamped inside the front panel.  This LinnSequencer is extremely clean and would be listed in excellent condition except for the bent metal on the outer case near where the Linn cover plate attaches.  The metal was bent when I received this unit, and it has never been a problem for me.  There are also some minor nicks, scuffs, and dings that don't affect functionality.  The face of the unit is beautiful, and it looks great in a rack!

As you can see from the photos, this piece is operational.  The photos were taken shortly before I listed the item.  The display is readable (although it is a little dim).  I was able to format a disk, as well as create, save, and load MIDI data.  I was not able to test the computer interface, the remote control port, or the SMPTE functions.  These functions may work, but I never attempted to use them.  The unit comes with the power cord, a formatted disk, and copies (not originals) of the LinnSequencer Brochure in plastic sleeves.

The LinnSequencer was revolutionary when it was introduced and is a rare piece of gear.  It would certainly be a unique and interesting part of your collection.  They don't come up for sale very often.  When they do, they usually aren't working.  To find one this nice, that still functions, is remarkable. 

I debated long and hard before listing this piece, as I know that I'll probably never have the opportunity to own one again.  That being said, it is time for this unit to find a new home with someone who can appreciate it.  It is boxed and ready to ship.  Shipping is expensive due to the weight of the unit.  I ship UPS Ground with signature required.  Thanks for looking!
