Silvertone 1445 :: Mosrite Copy :: Model 26932 :: 1970 :: Sunburst :: Sears

Here's a really cool late 60's / early 70's Silvertone (Tesco) Japanese made Mosrite copy.   This one was sold by Simpson-Sears.  After the ever popular Ventures made it big playing a Mosrite, Teisco began making beautiful replicas out of Japan.  This is a sweet guitar with a few nicks out of it here and there, but it looks great, plays great, and she wails!  Frets are in great shape too with very little wear.  Ships with a soft shell case.  A couple buzzy notes up higher on the neck (past 12th fret) but just on a couple strings.  This one has the cooler "wave" headstock look.  Has Gibson deluxe keys on it now and that's the only thing not original on it.  Here's the general specs on it:

Body: Morite-style, celluloid bound, fully contoured, flamed Maple over basswood with German carve; sunburst (yellow-red-mahogany) high gloss polyurethane finish; tortoise shell celluloid pickguard.

Neck: Bolt-on solid Maple neck with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard,  Pearloid block inlays and triple bound celluloid edge (w/b/w); 25½″; 22 frets with zero fret; 1-5⁄8″ at nut.

Pickups: Three Teisco single coil “Hound Dog” pups wired in series (loud, louder, loudest); 3 slide switches plus tone boost switch for 7 pup combinations; 3 volumes and 1 master tone control.

Headstock: Solid Maple; black urethane finish; block style logo.

Tuners: Gibson Deluxe Replacements

Vibrato: Teisco tremolo bar.

Bridge: Teisco adjustable roller bridge; chrome cover.
