This is an exact reproduction of the ebony block with abalone inlays, that came on several early 60's Gibson electric guitars that were also equipped with the short vibrola. Can be seen on some vintage SG Les Paul Customs, and a few other models.

This would be the perfect replacement for a vintage Gibson owner who needs a replacement ebony block. Also perfect for any guitar owner who wants to add this to any Gibson electric that is equipped with the Maestro Short Vibrola (SG, ES models, Firebird, Explorer, Flying V, etc.).  I included a few photos of some vintage SG's that were equipped with the ebony block, so you can see what it actually looks like on a guitar.
