About This Listing

I bet you’ve never seen one of these! Here in full force is a ’84-’87 Carvin Double Neck 6/12! This is one unique guitar! Carvins are generally special ordered guitars which makes it difficult to tell where the original parts begin and the modification end. Any which way it is what it is! An 80’s Double neck with a Floyd Rose trem system, a plethora of Dimarzio pick ups and just about every switch under the sun.

Specs! The six string neck has a Locking Floyd Rose nut that measures 1 and 5/8th inches. The twelve string nut measures 1 and 11/16th inches. Both necks are made of maple and have a 24.75″ scale length. The depth on both necks start at .80 at the nut and go to .96 around the body. Both fingerboards are constructed out of ebony, have 24 frets and a 12″ radius. The 12 string pick up configuration seems to be all original. The six string pick ups have been upgraded to a Dimarzio Megadrive in the neck, a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and a Duncan Hot Rail in the middle. The cover on the back for these pick ups was custom made. The Floyd Rose trem system was also added aftermarket. Each neck has individual coil splitting switches as well as phase switches. The Varitone switch for the 6 string section seems to have been added aftermarket. There is also a push button in between the necks that doesn’t seem to do anything. Both Necks come with their original Schaller tuners. Weighs in at 13 pounds and 11 ounces. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

This is a killer double neck guitar from the 80s. The guitar is in very good condition and comes with its original hard shell case. Would make for a shocking/awe inspiring stage guitar. Really nothing else quite like it in the universe.
