This is a used slit or tongue drum. This may even be a Teponaztli from Guatemala.
Don't know a whole lot about it but it is solid wood with leather ends and has a nice sound. The wood appears to be bamboo, but I am not completely sure. There are at least 2 keys, maybe as many as 6 keys. See for yourself. Measures 16" long by 4" in diameter.
