This is a tragic case of a beautiful guitar that is in need of some serious restoration efforts to get it back into playing shape.
The neck is mahogany with a Rosewood faceplate. The bass side slot has a crack which had been repaired at some point. The treble side tuner has had the G string tuning shaft break off. The tuners are missing some screws.!The ebony fretboard has been sawed off at the body joint from an old timey neck reset attempt. The bar frets are pretty low and might need replacing. The board has a chip at the 5th fret treble side but is otherwise in good shape.
The mahogany body was dropped in shipping with the endpin still inserted so there is damage to the tail end of the guitar. The end block isn’t cracked but the strip has shifted. The bass side has a crack that goes nearly all the way around. There are some chips and a little old glue. The treble side and back are in much better shape. The top has a strange celluloid pickguard that was attached (and included). The top has 6 visible cracks; two were repaired fairly well and the remaining 4 are still open. They have a little old glue residue. The bridge area has been widened a little and there is some tearout. The braces are scalloped and a few of them are loose.
The finish all blacklights a consistent green glow but there are areas of physical and temperature damage and plenty of checking. Likely a refin. The entire instrument is dirty and in need of a good cleaning as well.
There may be minor issues that we overlooked but we’ve done our best to photograph and describe this instrument. Sold as is
