Laubin Handmade Rosewood Oboe For Sale- s/n 2052. This rare and simply beautiful professional oboe was made in 1992. It is mint condition, as if it were made very recently. How could this be so? It was squirreled away all of these years, until I purchased it in early 2019. It came to me with very close to original rosewood hue (a sign that it had not been out of the case). It has been played very lightly since then (20-30 hours). The hue has darkened a bit, as one would expect from a rosewood. Paul Laubin, looked at it personally and agreed with my assessment. It has no cracks. It has a sumptuous combination of dark, yet sweet tone. These oboes have a waiting list of 10 years. They are now only making 10 oboes in total per year, so very few more are likely to be produced. This is a collectors item, and new ones that are available on demand can cost $17,000. Sale will include 2 Legere Oboe Reeds ($200 value), and choice of 6 Magic Reed Professional Oboe Reeds, or $200 of processed oboe cane in the size, strength and form of your choice. Now that's a deal!! We are here to answer any questions you may have.
