About This Listing

Mutterstolz by Palmer

Mutterstolz.  Translation: Mother's Pride.  Germany's Palmer should be proud of the Mutterstolz.  It is a top quality and flexible pedal.  It is an overdrive, distortion, and booster all in one.  It uses a 12AX7 (aka ECC83) tube for real tube tone.

Whether you use it as a transparent clean boost, a classic overdrive with sensitive crunch control, or a true distortion pedal with rich compression; the Mutterstolz always reacts very dynamically to pick-attack and the guitar volume controls.

The "Destruction" and "Mother" controls set the distortion level and volume, "Color" adds warmth or bite to the tone without overpowering the basic character of the guitar, and "Dirt" influences the harmonic behavior and sustain for fine tuning the distortion sound.  The Mutterstolz features true bypass circuitry, and easy pedalboard mounting without hook-and-loop fasteners.

The Mutterstolz runs on 12V AC; and the power supply is included.  This pedal is built like a tank, and is the heaviest pedal I've seen for its size - the entire package weighs over 1.4 kg (3 pounds)!
