If you have ever heard Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Greg Leisz or Ben Harper play one of these 1920s-30s Lap Hawaiians made by Hermann Weissenborn then you already know how magical they sound. The 1st time i heard one was when Greg Leisz was doing my 3 CDs with him. Mine and the producer's jaws dropped.
I have since been a hub and collector.lover and player of these most magnificent of instruments. Presented here is what appears to a be late 20s style 1. Crack free, loud as all get up!! The saddle is not original but a steel one like orig can be had made by new makers like Tony Francis if you so desire. Tuners are original but have been off and back on again (no boring) the ferrels and bridge pins only .. are repro. Comes with a newer hard shell case.
