Fender Squier 57 RI Stratocaster, JV serial, 1983, Fiesta Red, MIJ

This is a 1983 JV Squier Fender 1957 Reissue Stratocaster, Japan Vintage, pencil dated 9-6-83. USA Fullerton black-bottom (bobbin) staggered alnico pole, cloth wire pickups measure 5.8, 5.8, 5.9 ohm, great vintage sound. Pick guard still has the "PICK UP MADE IN USA" sticker on it. Everything (electronics, pickups hardware, etc.) appears unchanged original. Surgical tubing spacers, DM30 switch, 7.5 pounds, alder body. Tremolo cover and whammy bar included (not pictured). I added the fourth spring to balance the bridge height for 10's. Gorgeous (really) hard to find Fiesta Red vintage finish, great playing condition. Some Fiestas are a weird pinkish, salmon or other odd red. This one is as close as I could find to 60's Fender aged Fiesta Red. These photos in the ad accurately show the color. Maple fretboard on medium C-shape maple neck, vintage tuners. Very minimal fret wear, no board wear, few dings, normal play wear and some finish chips around perimeter, minimal buckle rash and pick rash, no real finish swirling, most beautiful JV Fiesta Red strat! Pro set-up, saddle radiusing, intonation etc., with 10's.

This is another great sounding, playing and looking early Fender mij Fujigen Gakki JV strat. These JV's are fantastic guitars, very close to original 50's, 60's and reissue specs. Much info is available on the net, and 21frets.com is the most informative site I have found so far if you are not familiar with the original Fender MIJ's. They state that these Squier EX branded guitars are more spec on than the domestic Japanese models from this early 80's period when Fender Japan was getting started. I won't waste your time or insult your intelligence with "awesome", "amazing", "unbelievable", or "Holy Grail!!" nonsense. If you are a player, these are player's guitars, second to none, regardless of price and hype.

Well packed in a Fender Vintage Tweed hardshell case, orange fleece lining, bubble wrap, and a sturdy guitar shipping box. The tweed case has some noticeable rubs, stains, fraying from storage and handling, not mint. I will make detailed pics if you need them, just ask.
