BULLDOG M6 20 watt ouput transformer

Our new BULLDOG M6 output transformer produces a rich, fat tone with lots of nice harmonics. This is an upgrade replacement for the output transformer in any of the 20 watt JCA amps - 20H, 22H, 20HV, Custom 22 and 2212C combos. The BULLDOG M6 is available as a factory upgrade on some of these models here in our store and also in the UK at

M6, grain oriented, steel laminations lose less energy (1.11 watts per kilo of lamiantions, instead of 4 or even 5.3 watts, for some lesser grade types) and so more power gets to the speaker. The frequency response is marginally improved, too, so that the high and low end response of the transformer is better.

Built in the UK just for us, BULLDOG transformers are painted in British racing green and emblazoned with the BULLDOG logo.

Replacing a transformer or any other components in your amp, aside from tubes, is an operation which should only be performed by a qualified service technician. Not only are there potentially lethal voltages present inside the amp, you could also void your warranty with improper installation.
