2008 Baltimore BS-5.
Baltimore Musical Instruments, Harrisburg PA. Retails new for $395.
It's made well. Body is one piece of alder wood, solid maple neck with some pretty flame and tiger-eye figuring and a rosewood fretboard with thin nickel-silver fret wire, sealed tuning machines and an interesting three-ply pick guard. Electronic components are basic. 3-tone burst finish. Flat radius fretboard. Tremelo arm, truss rod and bridge wrenches included.
And its been played in the cowboy area (see picture of 2nd fret). Front of guitar body shows no wear. Back of guitar body shows wear : some scratches on the body, poly finish chipped near the input jack, finish smushed on the upper horn, long thin scratch on belly cut, neck plate scratched. I took pictures to show these marks.
It's got interesting tone and not your typical super Strat sound either Volume controls all three pickups; 1st Tone knob is for neck pickup, 2nd Tone knob for middle pickup; the bridge pickup tone is not controllable. Bright in the bridge position; lots of overtones and less string/note definition. Pickups are wound hot. Neck single-coil measures 8.95 ohm, middle single-coil measures 9.04 ohm and bridge humbucker measures 16.62 ohm.
