RARE! Fender Custom Shop Hand Wound Texas Special Pickups from a 1961 Relic Stratocaster

For sale are a complete set of (3) hand wound Texas Special pickups from the Fender Custom Shop.

These pickups were factory installed in a 2016 Collection 1961 Relic Stratocaster and are hand wound versions of the Texas Specials.  They will be sent out insured via USPS Priority.

These pickups are not muddy or dark like the standard Texas Specials and are very balanced and articulate and sound great clean or with overdrive. They have a nice midrange presence and snappy low end and the highs are not harsh at all.

Resistance readings on my Fluke meter:

Neck: 5.6K
Middle: 6K
Bridge:6.2K

Compared to a newer set of newer Texas Specials I have that are 6, 6.5, and 6.8 so these are definitely wound a little more vintage than the non hand-wound versions.

Texas Special pickups: the sound of Texas blues
"Fender designed their Texas Special single-coil pickups to deliver the distinct character of Texas blues: rich mids, chiming highs, and tight lows. Alnico V magnets and enamel-coated wire give these pickups increased output compared with vintage pickups, making it easy to drive any tube amplifier into natural overdrive just by cranking your volume knob. The reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup cancels noise in pickup positions two and four, giving you access to vintage tone without the vintage hum."
As the picture shows, these were hand wound in the Fender Custom Shop for the 1961 Relic series by "LD" on 5/31/16.

These pickups were de-soldered (NOT cut) so that they can drop right into your guitar.  They still have the vintage style factory masking tape holding the leads together.

No hardware is included.

The pickup covers are not included.

The pickups are aged as they are from a Relic strat.

These are incredibly rare and in perfect condition.
