This is something special! You're looking at a beautifully preserved 1995 Hohner B2B, mostly in it´s original conditions, with some electronic mods to obtain the best out of it. It´s in original glossy RED, wich is a more desirable color than the traditional black of most hohners. As you may know, one of the first licensed Steinberger "copy"basses back in the 80's were made by Hohner, starting in late 80´s. They are to this day, one of the best reinterpretations of the original composite 'Bergers.
Conditions 8/10
This bass ships fully functional, with leveled, recrowned and polished frets, setup for E std. with LaBella "Double Ball-End" .45-.100 strings (not new). Original description of the bass and factory specs are shown in the last pic, as they appeared 25 years ago in the original Hohner catalogue. The mechanics are working perfect. They look amazingly preserved, without any kind of issue. The electronics are rewired with braided wire, and a new 473k cap to prevent midrange loss. The red finish could show normal "patina" on the back of the body mostly, and the edges. Nothing to worry about.
What i like the most about this bass, is not only it´s portability, light weight and pop-up looks, but also the original P-J pickup configuration, wich makes it very versatile. Overall, this is a great instrument. 😎👌🔧🎸
