About This Listing

PRICE DROP! 1982 JS-DN custom. Folks,  there isn't a nicer JS out there! 4A quilt maple back, 4A flame maple neck.  solid spruce top w/x-bracing. Just refurbished by a former head of R & D at Gibson:  electronics (new pots & rotary switch, new pickup wiring) new pickguard, re-plated pickup covers (most of you know that those old Gibson pickguards emit a gas that corrodes metal). Is in nearly pristine shape, only a few micro scratches i can't capture with my camera.   Purchased brand new at Veenemans music store in MD by an attorney who loved Johnny Smith's playing but didn't play guitar much himself (drummer). Sat in the case for 30+ years (why it needed refurb). Plays perfect & sounds amazing. Kluson seal fast tuners with built in winding levers. Custom fingers tailpiece. A flawless one of a kind Smith for someone looking for the ultimate jazz guitar.  With the original case.
