Germanium pre-amp booster, vintage overdrive tones & fuzz distorter.

The Olympic Studios 1960's germanium Helios line-amp optimized for pedal use.
Providing a clean boost with a full body increasing in harmonics through vintage overdrive into 60's fuzz.
From warm jazz tones through to blues dirt to classic 70's overdrive and 'direct to console' fuzz tones.

This works very well with other pedals and both guitar and bass as well as other instruments too.
There is a massive amount of gain and will drive a tube amp into full saturation with ease if required.

A six stage rotary mode switch selects between 2 core drive levels and 3 bass levels.
The 6th position is the original Helios setting.
High detail boosting with plenty of vintage color.

The Helios line-amp is known for its clipping and it does so in a musical way.
It has been refined in the Type-60 to provide a useful and variable fuzz tone palate.

All germanium signal path beginning with a GT404 allowing a very responsive clean-up and drive control with plenty of detail and vintage warmth.
The SFT317 then drives the OC43 which is the final stage and where the core of the tone occurs.
The OC43 is an amazing device with high-end definition and clarity with quality distortions. Due to its availability and cost will be only offered a few more times.

A must for all vintage electric tones.
Many classic British records were flavored with the germanium Helios.
A classic pre-amp circuit that works very well on a wide range of styles and inputs and slips into fuzz distortion with pleasurable ease.
