I guess this is the perfect guitar if you want to stand out or disappear. I purchased this from Carter's in Nashville, TN where the builder, Dave Johnson, works as a master tech. Follow SMG's instagram. The guy is a wizard with unconventional materials. Pictures do not do justice to how cool this thing looks in person. Like a finely polished ice cube. And it sounds ridiculously good too. It is stocked with a bare knuckle "Aftermath" pickup and a single volume control. It nails the AC/DC SG tone. I love playing this through vintage inspired tube amps - you feel like a rock God. I want to keep it, but I primarily play out in a church band through an Ax modeler and find it too time consuming to dial it in for that musical setting. It's the only time I miss having more tone shaping control than the single volume allows. Through an amp it's no big deal to find it's sweet spot. In fact, through an amp it is ALL sweet spot.
