general history:
i bought this module brand-new in 2014 for $379
this module was immediately mounted in a covered eurorack case, using nylon screws.
i love this module. this is, in my opinion, the absolute best midi-to-CV module available.
when i first started my eurorack set-up, it seemed really important that it could play nice with my older MIDI gear. over the years, i was using my old MIDI gear less and less; so i have not been using the QMI as much lately. i am now selling it simply for financial reasons.
this module functions exactly as it should. i am only selling out of necessity. just the classic on-going battle for rack-space priorities and cash-flow problems!
general functionality:
i love that this module has so many output options; but my favorite part is that it does it all without using a display screen or menu system.
for a quick example: to change which midi channel is assigned to any of the QMI’s four input channels, the user simply selects which channel, and rotates the knob to the desired value. same with adjusting assignments for Velocity, Aftertouch, etc. I am over-simplifying a little; but it really is that easy.
it has multiple midi-clock outputs.
it has the ability to be 4 separate mono channels or 4-voice polyphonic [even combinations like 2-channel duo phonic with two mono channels, etc.].
there are LEDs that light up to indicate which channel is being edited and the LEDs also indicate various midi activity.
why i am selling:
right now i am really broke, and have some big bills coming up. i decided to go through all of my gear to see it there was anything i did not absolutely NEED! of course i never really WANT to sell anything…
i have held onto this module because i thought i might change my mind about my MIDI set-up; but over the last couple years i have sold most of my other MIDI gear. i kept the QMI just-in-case; but sadly my current financial state cannot allow for that!
simply put: times are tough for me financially right now. that means sadly this awesome piece of gear has to go! please give it a good home!
thank you for looking!

details from ModularGrid:
Four Voice Polyphonic MIDI Interface
qMI is a quad MIDI-to-CV converter-module suitable for modular synthesizer systems in eurorack format. qMI is based upon the voice allocating unit of VERMONA's PERfourMER MKII and supports monophonic as well as polyphonic playing.
Each of unit's four output channels offers output for Key-CV (1v/oct.), gate as well as two additional CV-outputs to redirect MIDI-controllers like modulation wheel or pitch bend. The output channels can be freely combined or used independently with individual MIDI-channels. Combined output channels can be played in unison, monophonically with rotating voice allocation or polyphonically.
qMI offers four clock-divider-outputs, which convert incoming MIDI-clock to analogue gate-voltages. A reset-output allows MIDI-start/stop-commands to be converted to control components of your modular synthesizer system, e.g. a step-sequencer and keep it synchronized this way.
Simple handling and immediate access to all parameters is an important part of qMI's concept. Therefore, qMI allows a straightforward combination of your modular synthesizer and MIDI-system.
