About This Listing
This one-of-a-kind Larrivée Acoustic guitar is absolutely stunning. Jim received this as a gift from his brother, John D’Addario, Jr., in the early 1990s.
This guitar is one of a dozen similar guitars built by Jean-Claude Larrivée in the late 1970s.
During the late 70’s Jean-Claude Larrivée was experimenting with different materials and inlays to make his instruments unique. This guitar features beautiful inlay ornamentations and a solid ivory bridge that is engraved with depictions of Melpomene and Thalia. It also has a rather deep Florentine cutaway that is not commonly found on steel-string acoustic guitars.
This Larrivée is currently setup with D’Addario XT 12-53 Phosphor Bronze strings and comes with the Larrivée hardshell case.
All of the proceeds from this instrument will go to The D’Addario Foundation to fund music education programs across the world.
