Custom Vintage 120 Year Old Violin Case Guitars - Electric & Acoustic with Custom Case

These are the very first prototype of this line of guitars and are numbered and signed on the inside. Built from late 1800's and early 1900's GSB violin cases, these are an outstanding set of matched guitars; one electric and one acoustic. The steam bent case bodies were shortened by about 5", chopped & channeled. The necks are made of Mahogany with truss rods that were harvested from matching early 80's Vega VGX-87 acoustics and bear the same cross logo on the headstock. Blemishes in the necks were kept, and the guitars were polished with 35 year old varnish to maintain the wear that the cases accrued over the years. The tuners are vintage covered Kluson-style that also came on Vegas.The tailpieces are repurposed wood from the Waldorf Hotel in New York City during their renovation in the 1950's! These guitars come with a custom carrying case, and the guitars MUST be sold together and with case. Both guitars enclosed in their custom case weighs roughly 38lbs, thus our increased shipping rate for this set. The acoustic guitar has an adjustable Rosewood bridge. The electric, an adjustable metal bridge, 3-way style wiring harness and zebra humbuckers from Guitar Fetish.
